Unorthodox was made in 2020 March. The leading role of the series Shira Haas, who plays the character Ester in the series. The series is drama. In my opinion, I can say that it was a mini-series that best explained the religion of Judaism to me. The subject of Unorthodox is the story of a young woman who wants to create a new life for her. Forced into an arranged marriage, a young woman decides to pursue her dreams and runs away. Trying to escape from both this marriage and the religious community, the woman settles in Berlin to start a new life for herself.

                                       

If ı talk about the subject of the series; Our lead role Ester is a young girl whose mother has died and lives with her aunt and grandmother. Esther is very attached to her grandmother and does whatever she wants. One day, they learn that his grandmother was sick, in severe condition and that he would soon pass away. Esther is very upset, but her grandmother has something she wants from Esther before she dies; getting married. Thus, the young girl marries someone who believes in the religion her family believes. But the person he marries and his family are very dependent on their religion and traditions. For this reason, Ester enters an unfamiliar environment. Ester's story actually starts here. The first time they get married, they think their marriage isn't too bad, but things change as time goes on. Her husband begins to burden Ester with many issues, and the young girl gets bored after a while and decides to leave home one day. Ester has a dream; Being an artist. In order to pursue this dream, he flees to Berlin without telling anyone. He spends a great time there, makes friends, and follows his dream. But her husband and past do not leave him alone there, either.

My thoughts on this drama are positive. This drama really impressed me and made me realize some things. It enabled me to understand and think about the customs and traditions of people of other religions in my eyes. I think it's a mini-series that everyone should watch carefully. I suggest.
